I have been a learner, practitioner and trainer of orofacial myotherapy over the past 10 years. I believe orofacial myotherapy is the science that can help individuals breathe well, eat well, sleep well, grow/ age well; have a good posture, a healthy smile and overall good health. I am a founder president of the Foundation of Orofacial Myotherapy (FOM), an organization with more than 300 life members (from.org.in). FOM has been actively promoting myofunctional therapy, training dentists, dental specialists and other health professionals, conducting events (conferences, webinars, etc.), and publishing a newsletter: Myoprobe, over the past six years (amongst various other things). On orofacial myotherapy, I have made several research as well as case report publications, published a book chapter in a textbook, and made more than 50 presentations in conferences. I have been a teacher and researcher in dentistry and public health having two Master’s qualifications: MSc in Dental Public Health from King’s College London with merit and distinction in Sociology; and MDS in Paediatric Dentistry from University of Mumbai. I have over 22 years of University teaching experience in undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship programmes. I also have clinical experience of about 25 years in General Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care and Hospital-based Dentistry. I have recently moved to the UK from India and am currently located in Manchester working in an NHS-Private Dental Practice near Manchester.
