Bio
Originally qualified 1986 from Manchester University , decided to move to the north east and took a job as an associate in Billingham . Worked within an NHS environment for the first ten years but wanted to move to a more integrated model of patient care and so went fully Private from the NHS model in 1996. Ten years of part-time clinical assistant in orthodontics at a local hospital helped lead to a better understanding of where various dental disciplines cross over with varied agreement. Occlusion and TMJ function has been a passion and area of curiosity for over thirty years. The different schools of thought of occlusion and malocclusion have driven my education and knowledge, which continues to this day. Curious over occlusion and TScan use, curious over TMJ function from a biotensegral perspective, curious over the fascia of the connections to and from the TMJ, curious over tongue function and our classifications of dysfunction, curious over the energetic aspects of tongue function, curious over the epigenetics of oral function and curious over the concept of Split second unlearning and the role of emotional memory images in the field of sleep medicine – by the accumulation of knowledge from a wide base of skilled practitioners and bodyworkers
